If a snow day threw a dance party, this would be the hat it wore. Bursting with zigzags, pops of neon, and cozy Chibi Paka Chunky softness, the Sheffield Hat is all fun, no fuss. Designed by the ever-brilliant Amy Opie, it’s cheerful, chunky, and topped with a pom-pom that says, “Let’s play!”

Warning: may cause spontaneous twirling and compliments from strangers.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

Circumference- 20"  / Height 9.5"                                                                            

YARN:
Ikigai Fiber Chibi Paka Chunky (75% fine washable merino wool, 25% baby alpaca; 55 yds / 50.5 m per 50 g skein): 1 skein each 4 colors

Yarn pom-pom was made with leftover yarn after making the hat.  However, if you are not knitting to gauge, you may not have enough yarn to complete a pom-pom

    OTHER SUPPLIES NEEDED:                            
    • US 9 / 5.5 mm 16" / 40 cm circular needle and set of 5 double-pointed needles
      US 8 / 5 mm 16" / 40 cm circular needle
    • Stitch marker
    • Tapestry needle
