I have a new kit available on Craftsy--Heirloom Placemats. I wanted to do something with a burlap and lace feel to it.
The base of the placemat is worked from Cascade Avalon which is a cotton / acrylic blend. The stitch pattern is a very dense herringbone design, resulting in a thick fabric that lies nice and flat. The lace edging is worked in Cascade Heritage which is a superwash wool / nylon blend in a fingering weight.
Currently this pattern is a Craftsy exclusive, so it is only available in the kit. The plates and lanterns are from Pier One Imports.
