Holiday Gift Must-Knit #5: Fisherman Boot Liners

The 5th project is "Fisherman Boot Liners" reminiscent of a chunky Aran Fisherman Sweater. The pattern is Savannah Boot Liners and the yarn is Cascade Eco Wool. The boots are Dr Martens bought used from my local Buffalo Exchange with new yellow leather boot laces. Boot_3

I followed the instructions for the smallest size of the short boot liners on US 9 (5.5 mm) dpn's which ended up being a very stretchy 10" circumference. Instead of 12 rounds of ribbing, I did 20 rounds in order to have a cuff that was long enough to fold over.

This project uses just one skein of Eco Wool in ecru, in fact, you could get 2 pairs of the smaller size short boot liners out of just one of the generous 478-yard skeins. At $20 skein, that's a budget-friendly $10 / pair! Or how about a pair of boot liners and a coordinating Quilted Lattice Ascot for someone really special to you? I love the organic, chunky look of this yarn--it feels like it came right off of the sheep. Purchase Eco Wool here on Craftsy and check out the other beautiful, neutral colors--just click on "Eco+ & Ecological Wool Yarn":
