The yarn is Cascade Ecological Wool in ecru, available here by clicking on “Cascade Eco+ & Ecological Wool Yarn” link:
I used US 8 / 5 mm needles. There are no alterations to the existing pattern. The width will be slightly wider (about 8 3/4") due to the heavier gauge of the yarn. The swatch is shown with faux leather buckle closures which I think would give the piece more of a rustic feel. Closures are from M & J Trimming.
